Dr. Shabana Khan

Dr. Shabana Khan, O.D. attended the University of Houston and graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in biology/chemistry. She then attended the University of Houston College of Optometry where she graduated with honors in 2003.  Dr. Khan completed internships specializing in geriatric ocular disease, neurologic ocular disease, pre- and post-operative management of cataract and refractive surgery patients, including LASIK.

Dr. Khan is board certified by the National Board of Examiners in Optometry. She is certified in the Treatment and Management of Ocular Disease by the National Board of Examiners. She is licensed to practice optometry in the state of Texas. She is also a certified Optometric Glaucoma Specialist. Professionally, she is a member of the Northeast Texas Optometric Society and the Beta Sigma Kappa honor society.

Dr. Khan specializes in fitting hard and soft contact lenses, including toric and multifocal lenses. Before joining North Texas Family Eye Care, Dr. Khan practiced in Houston for eight years and the Mckinney area for ten years. 

She is a native Houstonian and loves to cheer on the Houston Rockets. In her free time, she enjoys spending time trying new recipes, hiking, traveling, and pottery. Most importantly, she loves spending time with her husband and kids.
